The Courthouse Complex
The Common Pleas Court consists of six courtrooms, four judges, and two magistrates.
Cases involve felony criminal matters, civil suits seeking damages over $15,000, probate matters, domestic relations, jury trials, and court trials.
The building also houses many county offices including all elected county officials, Adult Probation, Local History and Genealogy, the Board of Elections, the Law Library and other offices.
The number of court appearances in Wood County has fluctuated over the past seven years, although there was an increase in 2013. View chart.
