What We Do

The Wood County Juvenile Court by law has jurisdiction over juvenile delinquency and unruly cases; juvenile traffic cases; abuse, neglect, and dependency cases; paternity, custody and child support cases; as well as limited adult criminal cases. The Court administers a variety of programs related to these cases and also oversees the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center. The Court is set up by departments, which include the Clerical Department; Probation Department; the Juvenile Detention Center; the Court Appointed Special Advocates/Guardian Ad Litem (CASA/GAL) Program; and the Fiscal Department.

What's New

The Wood County Juvenile Court will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017 in observance of Memorial Day.

Coming Soon: The Wood County Juvenile Court will be launching a Public Access Module through Equivant (formerly Courtview) in the near future. This module will allow the public and county agencies to access certain case types, specifically paternity, custody, and support cases. More details to follow.

Parents may request drug screens for their children through the Juvenile Court. The reduced costs for these screens are $2 for a drug screen for a single drug and $15 for a screen for multiple drugs. Please contact the Juvenile Court's Probation Department for details.

CASA/GAL volunteer applications are being accepted for future training opportunities. Contact CASA/GAL program office at 419-352-3554 for an application packet.
