Petitions

Petitions are available in our office or on-line from the Secretary of State's Website
Please note that the petition forms print best double sided on legal size paper
IT IS THE CANDIDATE, NOT THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE VALIDITY AND COMPLETION OF A PETITION

 

To be a Write-In Candidate

A Declaration of Intent (Form 13) must be filed no later than 4 p.m., 72 days before the election

 

Campaign Finance Requirements

All candiates running for office who spend any money, including their own personal funds, must file a Designation of Treasurer (Form 30-D)
All candidates running for Federal office must file with the Federal Election Commission
Candidates running for non-federal office please see our Campaign Finance page for information regarding filing


Ohio Ethics Commission Filings

State, County, City, and Educational Service Center candidates are required to file with the Ohio Ethics Commission. Please see their website for more information.
