The Ohio Ethics Commission promotes ethics in public service to strengthen the public's confidence that Government business is conducted with impartiality and integrity. The Commission was established as part of the Ohio Ethics Law in 1973.

Ohio Elections Commission

The duties of the Ohio Elections Commission include, but are not limited to, the adjudication of Ohio's Campaign Finance laws.  Complaints and referrals are received by the Commission from each of the State of Ohio's 88 County Boards of Elections, Ohio Secretary of State's Office, as well as complaints brought forward by members of the general public.

Additionally, Commission staff members are always prepared to assist Ohio citizens with any question concerning the elections process in the state of Ohio.

The FVAP web site provides information to U.S. citizens covered by the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA). It is an excellent source of information for any U.S. citizen who is living overseas.

Federsal Elections Assistance Commission (EAC)

The U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) was established by the Help America Vot Act of 2002 (HAVA). EAC is an independent, bipartisan commission charged with developing guidance to meet HAVA requirements, adopting voluntary voting system guidelines, and serving as a national cleainghouse of information on election administration. EAC also accredits testing laboratories and certifies voting systems, as well as audits the use of HAVA funds.
