Appointing Authorities may alter some of the provisions of this handbook as they deem appropriate. Employees are encouraged to check with their Appointing Authority regarding applicable policies and procedures. Employees working in departments with collective bargaining agreements should consult their union contract as those agreements may differ from County policy.
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions expired on December 31, 2020.
